Breaking Bad poster analysis

The Breaking Bad poster uses the title of the show as the one piece of text on the whole image. The font of the text is basic but also includes chemistry symbols which relates to the plot of the show. This choice draws in a larger audienc e as it makes them curious as to why this font choice has been made. It uses one main image which is half of both of the main characters faces. By doing this, the poster introduces us to the stars , while creating mystery and intruige. Both of the mens expressions add to this intruige as they have very serious looks on their faces. The poster for Dext er uses one main image of one man who is the main character of the thriller. He is centered and making direct address which draws the audience’s attention to him. It also makes the poster more appealing to people who see it because it feels as if he is making eye contact with the viewer which makes it more personal. The colour scheme is very simple and uses mainly white and red. These colours have a large contrast which makes it stand out more. The background is white as well as the characters clothes, his hand and the text on the image. The simplicity of the majority of the poster creates a sense of mystery especially since the red banner imitates the look of splattered blood. Analysis The cover for You uses a main image that uses three people. The person in the middle is the main character who is making direct address with the camera. This draws the audience’s attention to him and makes him the main focus of the poster. The two women are less of a focus to the audience because they are slightly out of focus, and we see less of their faces.
